BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF LIBERIA

Boys and Girls Clubs of Liberia on Friday, Aug. 31, closed our 3rd Annual Summer STEM program and have continue with our after school programs at our 3 locations (Clubs), namely Gaye Town, Nickley’s Town and Gbarnga.

Current number of active BGCLBR members:  1. BGCLBR-Gaye Town Club: 58 (Females: 35 and Males: 23) 2. BGCLBR-Nickley’s Town Club: 45 (Females: 30 and Males: 15) 3. BGCLBR-Gbarnga, Bong County: 34 (Female: 22 and Males: 12 Boys and Girls Clubs of Liberia serves a total number of 137 currently registered active members, with a breakdown of 87 females and 50 males.

The organization has grow to three Clubs, and continues to seek partnerships in an effort to strengthen our services, both in quality and in number of youth served. In 2018, Boys & Girls Clubs of America provided donations to BGC Liberia, in the form of athletic equipment, tshirts and other materials that went a long way in serving the youth of the Clubs. Beyond te activities, we have a great focus on Education, and affording the youth with a safe and positive place to learn.  We could be serving more youth, but our efforts are focused on making the greatest impact, and having a more personalized relationship with the youth.  Our plan is recruit more volunteers and secure resources to support the hiring of caring and dedicated staff. Our local church in Louisville, KY has been instrumental in supporting us, through collection of supplies and shipment.
